CITRUS...AND LEVY COUNTIES...INCLUDING THE COASTAL WATERS FROM
ANCLOTE KEY TO ENGLEWOOD OUT 60 NM.
A HIGH SURF ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR ANCLOTE KEY SOUTH TO
BONITA BEACH...

AT 8 AM EDT...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM JEANNE WAS LOCATED NEAR
LATITUDE 31.0 NORTH...LONGITUDE 83.8 WEST OR NEAR MOULTRIE GEORGIA.
THIS LOCATION IS ALSO 230 NORTH NORTHWEST OF THE TAMPA BAY AREA.
JEANNE IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHWEST NEAR 12 MPH. A TURN TO
THE NORTH-NORTHEAST IS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS. MAXIMUM
SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 45 MPH...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. JEANNE IS
EXPECTED TO WEAKEN TO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION LATER TODAY.
...WIND IMPACTS...
WINDS OVER THE NATURE COAST ARE CURRENTLY 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO
40 MPH. WINDS FURTHER SOUTH IN THE TAMPA BAY AREA HAD WEAKENED TO THE
10 TO 15 MPH RANGE...BUT WILL PICK UP A LITTLE LATER THIS MORNING
WITH GUSTS TO 25 MPH POSSIBLE.
...FLOOD IMPACTS...
THE MAIN IMPACT WILL BE MODERATE TO MAJOR RIVER FLOODING OVER THE
NEXT SEVERAL DAYS...AND MORE THAN A WEEK ON THE WITHLACHOCHEE
RIVER. SEE THE LATEST FLOODS STATEMENTS FOR MORE INFORMATION.
...STORM SURGE FLOOD AND STORM TIDE IMPACTS...
WINDS HAD TURNED ONSHORE IN THE CEDAR KEY AREA OVERNIGHT. AT
430 AM EDT ONE FOOT OF GULF WATER WAS REPORTED IN THE HOMES ALONG
THE BOAT CANALS IN YANKEETOWN. THE ESTIMATED SURGE WAS 4 FEET.
THE SURGE AT CEDAR KEY AT 4:08 AM WAS RECORDED AT 1.2 FEET AND
RISING. FURTHER SOUTH...WATER LEVELS AT CLEARWATER AND ST PETERSBURG
REMAINED AT OR BELOW ONE FOOT ABOVE NORMAL.
...MARINE IMPACTS...
ALL MARINERS SHOULD REMAIN IN PORT NORTH OF ANCLOTE KEY. SMALL CRAFT
AND HIGH SURF ADVISORIES ARE IN EFFECT FOR THE COASTAL WATERS SOUTH
OF ANCLOTE KEY TO BONITA BEACH. THE SURF WILL RANGE FROM 3 TO 5 FEET
IN FORT MYERS...TO 4 TO 6 FEET AT CLEARWATER BEACH...TO 8 FEET NEAR
CEDAR KEY.
...RAIN IMPACTS...
CURRENT BANDS OF LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN ARE OVER NORTHERN LEVY
COUNTY...NEAR SARASOTA...AND IN THE FORT MYERS AREA. MORE BANDING IS
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP IN THE GULF OF MEXICO AND FLOW NORTHEAST INTO
THE CIRCULATION OF JEANNE. RAINFALL TOTALS WILL GENERALLY BE LESS
THAN ONE INCH OVER THE AREA WITH SOME ISOLATED LOCATIONS RECEIVING
UP TO 3 INCHES WHERE TRAINING OF CELLS OCCUR.
...TORNADO IMPACTS...
THE THREAT FOR TORNADOES HAS DECREASED AS JEANNE HAS WEAKENED AND
MOVED NORTHWARD...BUT AN ISOLATED TORNADO IS STILL POSSIBLE IN THE
STRONGEST BANDS THAT MOVE ONSHORE FROM THE GULF TODAY.
