FLOOD WATCHES ARE IN EFFECT FOR MOST OF PENNSYLVANIA...NEW
JERSEY...SOUTHEASTERN NEW
YORK...MASSACHUSETTS...CONNECTICUT...RHODE ISLAND AND NEW
HAMPSHIRE.
FLOOD AND FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHEASTERN NEW
YORK INCLUDING LONG ISLAND...INTO SOUTHERN VERMONT...WESTERN
MASSACHUSETTS AND WESTERN CONNETICUT. FLOOD AND FLASH FLOOD
WARNINGS ARE ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE POCONO MOUNTAINS OF
NORTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA INTO NORTHWEST NEW JERSEY.
AT 11 AM EDT...15Z...THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM...THAT WAS IVAN...WAS
LOCATED NEAR 38.9 NORTH LATITUDE AND 75.8 WEST LONGITUDE...OR
APPROXIMATELY 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF DOVER DELAWARE AND MOVING
NORTHEASTWARD AT 20 MPH. WINDS ARE GENERALLY 10-15 MPH...8 TO 13
KNOTS...WITH SOME HIGHER GUSTS IN THUNDERSTORMS. THE CENTRAL
PRESSURE IS 1000 MB OR 29.53 INCHES OF MERCURY. THE LOW WILL MOVE
NORTHEAST INTO THE WESTERN ATLANTIC THIS AFTERNOON.
LINGERING HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE OVER PORTIONS OF THE
NORTHEAST UNITED STATES THROUGH THIS EVENING.
