...AREAS AFFECTED...
THIS STATEMENT RECOMMENDS ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN BY RESIDENTS IN THE
FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF NORTH FLORIDA...CLAY...DUVAL...FLAGLER...
NASSAU...AND ST JOHNS AND THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF SOUTHEAST
GEORGIA...CAMDEN AND GLYNN..

...WATCHES/WARNINGS...
A HURRICANE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE FLORIDA AND GEORGIA
EAST COAST...INCLUDING CAMDEN...DUVAL...FLAGLER...GLYNN...NASSAU AND
ST JOHNS COUNTIES.

A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR ALACHUA...MARION...PUTNAM...ST
JOHNS AND FLAGLER COUNTIES UNTIL 2 AM THIS MORNING.

A FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE COASTAL COUNTIES OF
NORTHEAST FLORIDA AND SOUTHEAST GEORGIA.

...STORM INFORMATION...
AT 11 PM EDT...0300Z...THE CENTER OF HURRICANE CHARLEY WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 29.1 NORTH... LONGITUDE  81.1 WEST OR ABOUT 10 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF DAYTONA BEACH FLORIDA.

CHARLEY IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHEAST NEAR 25 MPH...AND THIS
MOTION IS EXPECTED TO WITH AN INCREASE IN FORWARD SPEED DURING THE
NEXT 24 HOURS.  ON THE FORECAST TRACK...THE CENTER OF CHARLEY WILL
MOVE INTO THE ATLANTIC NEAR DAYTONA BEACH DURING THE NEXT HOUR...
THEN MOVE NEAR OR OVER THE SOUTH CAROLINA COAST SATURDAY MORNING.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR  85 MPH...WITH HIGHER GUSTS.  SLOW
STRENGTHENING IS FORECAST ONCE THE CENTER OF CHARLEY MOVES BACK
OVER WATER.

HURRICANE FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO  25 MILES FROM THE
CENTER...AND TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO  85
MILES.  DURING THE LAST HOUR...WINDS UP TO 60 MILES AN HOUR HAVE
BEEN REPORTED IN FLAGLER COUNTY ALONG WITH SOME DAMAGE TO
STRUCTURES.

...PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
PREPARATIONS SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETED IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA AND
SOUTHEAST GEORGIA FOR THE EFFECTS OF CHARLEY.

...STORM SURGE FLOOD AND STORM TIDE IMPACTS...
CHARLEY IS MOVING OFF THE FLORIDA EAST COAST NEAR FLAGLER BEACH.
STORM SURGE OF 2 TO 4 FEET POSSIBLE ALONG PORTIONS OF THE
NORTHEAST FLORIDA AND SOUTHEAST GEORGIA COAST.

...WIND IMPACTS...
FLAGLER COUNTY...NUMEROUS REPORTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED OF DOWNED TREES
AND STRUCTURAL DAMAGE. WINDS HAVE BEGUN TO DIMINISH ACROSS THE AREA.

CAMDEN...DUVAL...GLYNN...NASSAU AND ST JOHNS COUNTIES...
WINDS OF 40 TO 50 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS IN ISOLATED BANDS ARE
POSSIBLE ALONG THE IMMEDIATE BEACHES. SUSTAINED HURRICANE FORCE WINDS
ARE EXPECTED TO PASS JUST OFFSHORE.

...SEAS AND RIP CURRENTS...
HURRICANE FORCE WINDS AND HIGH SEAS WILL MOVE THROUGH THE COASTAL
WATERS DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. MARINERS ARE ADVISED TO REMAIN
IN PORT.

...FLOOD IMPACTS...
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE ALONG THE
COAST. AS THE STORM MOVES OFFSHORE THE WATCH WILL LIKELY BE
DISCONTINUED SATURDAY MORNING.

...TORNADO IMPACTS...
THERE WILL BE A RISK OF ISOLATED TORNADOES ALONG THE IMMEDIATE
COAST FOR ANOTHER COUPLE OF  HOURS. TORNADOES CAN AND DO FORM WITH
LITTLE OR NO WARNING...REMAIN ALERT FOR DETERIORATING WEATHER
CONDITIONS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

THE NEXT UPDATE WILL BE ISSUED FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
OFFICE IN JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA AT 2 AM OR EARLIER SHOULD
