...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM CDT THURSDAY THROUGH 1 AM
CDT FRIDAY MORNING...

The Flood Watch continues for

* A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following areas,
  Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, Davidson, De
  Kalb, Dickson, Fentress, Giles, Grundy, Hickman, Houston,
  Humphreys, Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Marshall, Maury,
  Montgomery, Overton, Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson,
  Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren, Warren,
  Wayne, White, Williamson and Wilson.

* From 1 AM CDT Thursday through late Thursday night

* Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall from 1 AM CDT Thursday morning
  through 1 AM CDT Friday morning will cause excessive rainfall
  amounts of 1-3 inches, with locally higher amounts of around 4
  inches possible.

* Heavy rainfall will cause excess runoff and localized flash
  flooding in the watch area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert
for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding
should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
