...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM CDT THURSDAY THROUGH LATE
THURSDAY NIGHT...

The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flood Watch for Middle Tennessee, including the following
  areas, Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland,
  Davidson, De Kalb, Dickson, Fentress, Giles, Grundy, Hickman,
  Houston, Humphreys, Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Marshall,
  Maury, Montgomery, Overton, Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson,
  Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren,
  Warren, Wayne, White, Williamson, and Wilson.

* From 1 AM CDT Thursday through late Thursday night

* Multiple waves of heavy rainfall from Thursday morning through
  late Thursday night will cause excessive rain amounts of 1 to 4
  inches.

* Heavy rainfall will cause excess runoff and localized flash
  flooding in the watch area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
