...Light Snowfall Likely This Afternoon through Friday Night...

Light snowfall this afternoon will likely provide Middle Tennessee
with its first accumulations of 2017. Counties bordering Kentucky
will see the onset of light snow showers around noon today while
counties along the Alabama state line may not see snow until the
early evening hours. Snow chances will end north to south this
evening although snow showers could linger into Friday morning
for the counties closer to the Alabama state line. A dusting to a
half inch of snow is possible which could lead to some minor
travel impacts including a few slick overpasses and backroads.

An additional shot of snowfall accumulation will become possible
during the day Friday as a second wave moves across the Mid-South.
Up to another quarter of an inch is possible still only giving
these areas less than inch of total accumulation between Thursday
evening and Friday.
