* STORM INFORMATION:
- About 340 miles south-southwest of Key Largo FL
- 20.8N 82.9W
- Storm Intensity 35 mph
- Movement North-northeast or 20 degrees at 22 mph
SITUATION OVERVIEW

Tropical depression eighteen in the western Caribbean Sea will continue to move north
northeast and likely become Tropical Storm Philippe as it moves into the outer Straits of
Florida late today and then offshore of the southeast Florida east coast early Sunday morning.
POTENTIAL IMPACTS

* WIND:
Southeast winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 40 to perhaps 50 mph in the stronger showers
and thunderstorms are possible along the Florida Keys this afternoon and tonight.
* FLOODING RAIN:
Occasional showers will become more widespread over the Florida Keys and
the adjacent waters. Rainfall amounts will average 1 to 2 inches with locally
higher amounts.
* TORNADOES:
Within the strengthening southeast winds, a stray and rapidly moving tornado is possible
this afternoon and early tonight.
Closely monitor NOAA Weather Radio or other local news outlets for
official storm information. Listen for possible changes to the
forecast.
