CALDWELL AND LA SALLE.
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH WILL BE IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM CDT TONIGHT THROUGH 7 PM
CDT THURSDAY FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST AND NORTH CENTRAL
LOUISIANA. PLEASE LISTEN CLOSELY FOR ANY FLOOD WARNINGS THAT MIGHT
BE IN EFFECT FOR YOUR AREA.

AT 10 AM CDT...THE CENTER OF HURRICANE ISAAC WAS LOCATED NEAR
LATITUDE 29.6 NORTH...LONGITUDE 90.7 WEST. THIS WAS ABOUT 200 MILES
SOUTHEAST OF NATCHITOCHES LOUISIANA...OR ABOUT 220 MILES SOUTH SOUTHEAST
OF MONROE LOUISIANA. STORM MOTION WAS NORTHWEST OR 310 DEGREES AT 6 MPH.
STORM INTENSITY WAS 75 MPH.
.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
HURRICANE ISAAC CONTINUES TO SLOWLY MOVE INLAND ALONG THE SOUTHERN
LOUISIANA COAST. HEAVY RAINFALL AND STRONG WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO
MOVE NORTHWARD WITH IT THROUGH THURSDAY.

COMPLETED BEFORE CONDITIONS DETERIORATE. THE ONSET OF GUSTY WINDS
AND HEAVY RAINS CAN CAUSE OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES TO BECOME DANGEROUS.
SECURE LOOSE OUTDOOR OBJECTS WHICH CAN BE BLOWN AROUND. IF YOU
LIVE IN A MOBILE HOME...AND CONDITIONS BECOME TOO DANGEROUS...LEAVE

SUSTAINED TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BEGIN
TONIGHT. MAXIMUM WINDS ARE FORECAST TO BE IN THE 35 TO 45 MPH
RANGE WITH GUSTS TO 55 MPH. MINOR TO MODERATE DAMAGE IS POSSIBLE TO MANY
MOBILE HOMES...ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT HAVE CANOPIES... AWNINGS...OR
CARPORTS. POORLY CONSTRUCTED HOMES MAY SUSTAIN MINOR DAMAGE AND
PARTIAL ROOF REMOVAL. OTHER HOMES MAY HAVE MINOR ROOF AND SIDING
DAMAGE. SOME LOOSE OUTDOOR ITEMS WILL BE TOSSED AROUND AND MAY
CAUSE ADDITIONAL DAMAGE. A FEW POWER LINES WILL BE KNOCKED DOWN
RESULTING IN SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES. SOME LARGE BRANCHES OF TREES
WILL BE SNAPPED AND SOME TREES MAY BE UPROOTED.
...INLAND FLOODING...
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH
CENTRAL AND NORTHWEST LOUISIANA WEDNESDAY EVENING THROUGH 7 PM CDT THURSDAY
AND MAY HAVE TO BE EXTENDED INTO A LATER TIME PERIOD. RAINFALL AMOUNTS
OF 6 TO 8 INCHES WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE DURING
THIS TIME. SIGNIFICANT FLASH FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE...
DEPENDING ON THE INLAND TRACK OF ISAAC.
...TORNADOES...
ISOLATED TORNADOES ARE POSSIBLE STARTING WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND
THROUGH THURSDAY. THE GREATEST THREAT FOR TORNADOES WILL BE NORTH
AND EAST OF THE CENTER OF CIRCULATION.
