...PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
RESIDENTS SHOULD ALREADY BE UNDERTAKING PREPARATIONS FOR
PROTECTING LIFE AND PROPERTY. SECURE OBJECTS OUTSIDE THAT ARE TOO
LARGE TO BRING INDOORS. PREPARATIONS SHOULD ALSO BE TAKEN FOR
EXCESSIVE HEAVY RAINFALL AMOUNTS WHICH WILL CAUSE WIDESPREAD
FLOODING.
...WINDS...
TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS OF 40 TO 50 MPH WILL BEGIN TO IMPACT
THE EXTREME SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST TEXAS AS WELL AS THE
SOUTHERN HALF OF NORTHWEST AND NORTH CENTRAL LOUISIANA BEGINNING
MONDAY EVENING AND CONTINUING THROUGH THE NIGHT INTO MUCH OF THE
DAY TUESDAY. TROPICAL STORM WIND GUSTS NEAR 70 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE

AND THROUGH THE DAY TUESDAY AS WELL.
...INLAND FLOODING...
HURRICANE GUSTAV IS EXPECTED TO MOVE TO THE NORTHWEST THROUGH

RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 10 TO 15 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH ISOLATED
HIGHER TOTALS NEAR 20 INCHES THROUGH LATE WEEK.
...TORNADOES...
THERE WILL BE A RISK OF TORNADOES AS THE OUTER RAIN BANDS FROM GUSTAV
MOVE ACROSS THE REGION. THE RISK WILL INCREASE OVER AREAS THAT WILL BE
ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE STORM MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THE DAY TUESDAY
INTO TUESDAY NIGHT. ON THE PRESENT TRACK...ALL OF NORTHWEST AND
NORTH CENTRAL LOUISIANA AS WELL AS SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS WILL BE ON THE
