LATITUDE 29.6 NORTH...LONGITUDE 82.4 WEST OR JUST WEST OF
GAINESVILLE FLORIDA. THIS POSITION IS ABOUT 185 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
SAVANNAH GEORGIA AND ABOUT 265 MILES SOUTHWEST OF CHARLESTON SOUTH
CAROLINA.

FAY IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NEAR 6 MPH AND THIS GENERAL MOTION
IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT DAY OR TWO. ON THE FORECAST
TRACK...THE CENTER OF FAY IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE CROSSING THE

NO ADDITIONAL WATCHES...WARNINGS OR ADVISORIES ARE IN EFFECT AT
THIS TIME.

...WINDS...

WINDS ARE AVERAGING 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH ACROSS MUCH
OF INLAND COLLETON COUNTY...AND THESE SPEEDS ARE EXPECTED TO
PERSIST THROUGH MID AFTERNOON. SUSTAINED TROPICAL STORM FORCE
WINDS ARE NOT EXPECTED. HOWEVER...GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MPH ARE
POSSIBLE IN PASSING SQUALLS.

WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 40 MPH COULD BREAK TREE BRANCHES AND
LIMBS...WHICH COULD FALL ON POWER LINES. SATURATED SOILS FROM
HEAVY RAINS EXPERIENCED OVER THE PAST FEW WEEKS MAY ALSO INCREASE
THE RISK FOR DOWNED TREES AND POWER LINES.

WINDS ARE CURRENTLY AVERAGING 10 TO 20 MPH ACROSS MUCH OF BERKELEY
COUNTY...WITH HIGHER WINDS OF 20 TO 25 MPH NEAR THE MOUTH OF THE
COOPER RIVER...AND THESE SPEEDS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH
THIS MORNING. HIGHER GUSTS OF 30 MPH WITHIN SQUALLS WILL BE
POSSIBLE THROUGH THIS EVENING.

WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WILL PERSIST ON LAKE MOULTRIE THROUGH THIS
EVENING. HIGHER GUSTS OF 30 TO 35 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE WITHIN
SQUALLS.

...INLAND FLOODING...
BANDS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...ASSOCIATED WITH THE EXTREME
NORTHERN FRINGES OF FAY...WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE ONSHORE ACROSS
THE AREA THROUGH THIS EVENING...WITH ADDITIONAL RAINFALL TOTALS
OF 1 TO 2 INCHES POSSIBLE. ISOLATED LOCATIONS COULD RECEIVE UP TO
3 INCHES. RAIN AMOUNTS OF THIS MAGNITUDE MAY PRODUCE FLOODING OF
LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.
