A TROPICAL STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM NORTH OF COCOA BEACH
FLORIDA TO SAVANNAH GEORGIA...INCLUDING THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS.

AN INLAND TROPICAL STORM WIND WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF INLAND
SOUTHEAST GEORGIA.

A FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF SOUTHEAST GEORGIA AND
SOUTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA.

AT 2 AM EDT...TROPICAL STORM JEANNE WAS LOCATED AT 30.1 NORTH...83.3
WEST...OR ABOUT 50 MILES SOUTH OF VALDOSTA GEORGIA. THE TROPICAL
STORM HAS MOVED ERRATICALLY OVER THE PAST FEW HOURS...BUT A NORTHWARD
MOTION NEAR 12 MPH IS EXPECTED TO RESUME SHORTLY. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED
WINDS ARE NEAR 50 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS.  JEANNE IS EXPECTED TO
WEAKEN TO A DEPRESSION LATER TODAY.

...PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
RESIDENTS OF SOUTHEAST GEORGIA SHOULD EXPECT MINIMAL TROPICAL STORM
FORCE WINDS TODAY. BE SURE THAT LOOSE OUTDOOR OBJECTS SUCH AS
GRILLS...PATIO FURNITURE AND TRASH CANS ARE TIED DOWN. POWER OUTAGES
ARE ALSO POSSIBLE TODAY. IF YOU PLAN ON USING A PORTABLE
GENERATOR...CHECK IT NOW FOR PROPER VENTILATION. CARBON MONOXIDE
POISONING DEATHS CAN OCCUR DUE TO IMPROPERLY VENTILATED GENERATORS.

...STORM SURGE FLOOD AND STORM TIDE IMPACTS...
ASTRONOMICAL HIGH TIDES THIS MORNING AND THEN AGAIN THIS EVENING
COMBINED WITH STRONG EAST AND SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL INCREASE THE
LIKELIHOOD OF COASTAL FLOODING AND BEACH EROSION ALONG THE GEORGIA
COAST.  TIDES EARLY THIS MORNING ARE RUNNING 2 TO 3 FEET ABOVE
PREDICTED LEVELS. AS WINDS INCREASE LATER TODAY...WATER MAY APPROACH
HIGHWAY U.S. 80 NEAR FORT PULASKI DURING TIMES OF HIGH TIDE. HIGH
TIDES WILL OCCUR AT THE SAVANNAH RIVER ENTRANCE AT 741 AM THIS
MORNING AND THEN AGAIN AT 814 PM THIS EVENING.

...WIND IMPACTS...
WINDS ALONG THE GEORGIA COAST EARLY THIS MORNING ARE BETWEEN 20 AND
30 MPH WITH A FEW HIGHER GUSTS TO AROUND 40 MPH.  SUSTAINED WINDS
WILL INCREASE ALONG THE COAST...AVERAGING 30 TO 40 MPH ESPECIALLY IN
RAIN BANDS. INLAND AREAS WILL SEE WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO
NEAR 40 MPH FOR MUCH OF THE DAY.

...SEAS AND RIP CURRENTS...
SEAS WILL CONTINUE TO BE ROUGH ACROSS THE GEORGIA COASTAL WATERS
TODAY. LARGE BREAKERS OF 5 TO 9 FEET CAN BE EXPECTED ALONG
THE BEACHES TODAY WHICH WILL RESULT IN DANGEROUS SURF CONDITIONS AND
A HIGH RISK FOR RIP CURRENTS.  SWIMMERS AND SURFERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO
REMAIN OUT OF THE WATER.

...FLOOD IMPACTS...
BANDS OF RAIN ASSOCIATED WITH JEANNE WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD ACROSS
THE AREA. THE HEAVIEST RAINS WILL OCCUR TODAY AS CENTER OF JEANNE
MOVES INTO CENTRAL GEORGIA BY THIS AFTERNOON AND AND THEN INTO
CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA BY LATE THIS EVENING. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 3 TO
6 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY MORNING...MAINLY EAST
OF INTERSTATE 95. 4 TO 8 INCHES IS POSSIBLE WEST OF INTERSTATE 95.
WITH THE POTENTIAL OF FLOODING...A FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT THROUGH
EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.

...TORNADOES...
THERE IS A RISK OF TORNADOES THROUGH THE DAY. A TORNADO WATCH
CURRENTLY IN AFFECT FOR ALL OF SOUTHEAST GEORGIA UNTIL 9 AM.
