WHILE JEANNE HAS BEEN DOWNGRADED TO A TROPICAL STORM...RAINBANDS
CONTAINING POSSIBLY DAMAGING WINDS AND HEAVY RAIN ARE CONTINUING TO
SPREAD ACROSS MUCH OF NORTHEAST FLORIDA AND SOUTHEAST GEORGIA.

...PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
PERSONS IN THE WARNING AREA SHOULD CONTINUE TO HEED THE ADVICE OF
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS. IF YOU LOSE POWER...REMEMBER THAT
GENERATORS SHOULD ONLY BE USED IN WELL VENTILATED AREAS...DO NOT RUN

FOR LIGHTING DUE TO THE RISK OF FIRE.

...STORM SURGE FLOOD AND STORM TIDE IMPACTS...
TIDES OF 1 TO 3 FEET ABOVE THE HEIGHT OF NORMAL TIDES WILL CONTINUE
OVERNIGHT. LOCALLY TIDES HAVE BEEN RUNNING 2 TO 3 FEET ABOVE NORMAL
TONIGHT. AS WE ARE NOW PAST THE TIME OF ASTRONOMICAL HIGH TIDE...IN
MOST AREAS...WATER LEVELS SHOULD GRADUALLY FALL OVERNIGHT. DUE TO THE
COMBINATION OF ALREADY HIGH WATER LEVELS AND HEAVY RAINFALL...
FLOODING OF POOR DRAINAGE AREAS HAS BEEN REPORTED. THESE CONDITIONS
SHOULD BEGIN TO EASE AS THE TIDES FALL AND RAINFALL ABATES TONIGHT.

...WIND IMPACTS...
FLAGLER AND ST. JOHNS COUNTIES CONTINUE TO REPORT OCCASIONAL
SUSTAINED WINDS BETWEEN 40 AND 50 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 60 MPH.
THESE CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE INTO THE EVENING BUT SHOULD BEGIN TO
VERY SLOWLY IMPROVE THROUGH SUNRISE.

IN DUVAL AND NASSAU COUNTIES...SUSTAINED WINDS BETWEEN 40 AND 50 MPH
AT TIMES WITH OCCASIONAL GUSTS TO 60 MPH WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MUCH
OF TONIGHT. THE HIGHEST WINDS WILL BE LONG THE IMMEDIATE BEACHES AND

MPH ARE LIKELY TONIGHT AS RAINBANDS CONTINUE SPREADING NORTHWARD.

IN MARION...PUTNAM AND GILCHRIST COUNTIES...WINDS WILL RAPIDLY
SHIFT OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS BECOMING SOUTHWEST AND WESTERLY AS
THE CENTER MOVES NORTH OF THE COUNTIES. WINDS OVERNIGHT WILL BE 30
TO 40 MPH WITH OCCASIONAL GUSTS TO 50 MPH. CONDITIONS WILL VERY
SLOWLY IMPROVE TOWARD SUNRISE.

IN ALACHUA...CLAY...UNION...AND BRADFORD COUNTIES...SQUALL BANDS WILL

OCCASIONALLY REACH TROPICAL STORM STRENGTH TONIGHT WITH SUSTAINED
SPEEDS OF TO 40 TO 45 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 55 MPH OVERNIGHT.

SUSTAINED WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE TO 35 TO 45 MPH WITH
OCCASIONAL GUSTS TO 55 MPH THROUGH TONIGHT.

...SEAS AND RIP CURRENTS...
A HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY. SMALL
CRAFT SHOULD REMAIN IN PORT UNTIL WINDS AND SEAS SUBSIDE. HIGH SURF
AND BEACH EROSION WILL CONTINUE INTO TONIGHT WITH SOME IMPROVEMENT
LIKELY BEGINNING MONDAY MORNING.

...FLOOD IMPACTS...
HEAVY RAINFALL HAS DIMINISHED OVER AREAS OF NORTH FLORIDA SOUTH OF
STATE ROAD 16 AND WILL CONTINUE TO DIMINISH OVER THE REMAINDER OF
NORTH FLORIDA THROUGH 3 AM. HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE TO
OVERSPREAD ALL OF SOUTHEAST GEORGIA TONIGHT. 4 TO 6 INCHES OF
RAINFALL...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS NEAR THE STORM CENTER... MAY
FALL TONIGHT.

AS JEANNE MOVES NORTH OF THE AREA ON MONDAY A BAND OF RAIN MAY MOVE
OUT OF APALACHEE BAY AND ACROSS THE SUWANNEE VALLEY AND PORTIONS OF
SOUTHEAST GEORGIA. AT THIS TIME...THE SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THE STORM
ARE FAIRLY DRY AND IT IS UNLIKELY THAT BAND WILL PRODUCE WIDESPREAD
HEAVY RAINS...HOWEVER AN ADDITIONAL INCH OR TWO OF RAIN MAY FALL
IN THOSE AREAS ON MONDAY.

FLOOD WARNINGS HAVE BEEN ISSUED THROUGH 8 AM MONDAY FOR ALL OF NORTH
FLORIDA AND MOST OF SOUTHEAST GEORGIA. REPORTS OF FLOODING HAVE
BEEN RECEIVED AND REMEMBER THAT FLOODING IN PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS AT
NIGHT. NEVER DRIVE INTO FLOODED AREAS...ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT.

THE HEAVY RAINFALL WILL POSE A RENEWED OR CONTINUED THREAT OF
FLOODING ON AREA RIVERS. RIVER FLOOD WARNINGS HAVE BEEN ISSUED FOR
THE BLACK CREEK AT MIDDLEBURG AND THE ST MARYS RIVER AT MACCLENNY.
BLACK CREEK IS EXPECTED TO CREST AT 17.2 FEET AT 2 AM ON TUESDAY AND

FLORIDA AND SOUTHEAST GEORGIA. THIS WATCH WILL LIKELY BE REISSUED FOR
A PORTION OF THE AREA. FUNNEL CLOUDS HAVE BEEN REPORTED ACROSS NORTH
FLORIDA AND ARE POSSIBLE OVER SOUTHEAST GEORGIA. THE AREA WILL
CONTINUE TO BE ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE STORM'S CIRCULATION...
WHICH IS A FAVORED LOCATION FOR TORNADO DEVELOPMENT. REMEMBER THAT
TORNADOES...ESPECIALLY THOSE ASSOCIATED WITH TROPICAL CYCLONES...CAN
AND OFTEN DO DEVELOP WITH LITTLE OR NO WARNING.

...NEXT UPDATE...

JACKSONVILLE WILL BE ISSUED AROUND 230 AM EDT...OR EARLIER SHOULD
