FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...
THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON HURRICANE
JEANNE...MEANDERING BETWEEN BERMUDA AND THE BAHAMAS...ON HURRICANE
KARL...LOCATED ABOUT 1500 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF WESTERNMOST
AZORES...AND ON TROPICAL STORM LISA...LOCATED ABOUT 1150 MILES WEST
OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS.
A WEAK LOW PRESSURE AREA IN THE EAST CENTRAL GULF OF MEXICO HAS
CHANGED LITTLE IN ORGANIZATION TONIGHT. ALTHOUGH UPPER-LEVEL WINDS
ARE NOT FAVORABLE FOR DEVELOPMENT AT THIS TIME...CONDITIONS MAY
BECOME A LITTLE MORE CONDUCIVE IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AS THE
SYSTEM MOVES OVER THE CENTRAL AND WESTERN GULF OF MEXICO.
AN AREA OF DISTURBED WEATHER CENTERED ABOUT 775 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST
OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS IS MOVING WESTWARD. WHILE THIS SYSTEM
HAS CHANGED LITTLE IN ORGANIZATION DURING THE NIGHT...CONDITIONS
APPEARS TO BE FAVORABLE FOR A TROPICAL CYCLONE TO FORM IN THE NEXT
DAY OR SO.
ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
THURSDAY.
