FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...
THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL
STORM JEANNE...LOCATED ABOUT 130 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF SAN
SALVADOR IN THE BAHAMAS...AND ON HURRICANE KARL...LOCATED ABOUT
1225 MILES EAST OF THE LESSER ANTILLES.
AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE AND ASSOCIATED CLOUDS AND THUNDERSTORMS IS
CENTERED ABOUT 550 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS
THIS MORNING. THIS SYSTEM IS WELL ORGANIZED AND TROPICAL CYCLONE
ADVISORIES WILL LIKELY BE INITIATED LATER TODAY.
ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
