A TROPICAL STORM WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE SOUTHERN LOUISIANA
COAST FROM INTRACOASTAL CITY TO WEST OF GRAND ISLE.
A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR JEFFERSON COUNTY OF
SOUTHEAST TEXAS EXTENDING EASTWARD TO ST MARY PARISH IN SOUTH
CENTRAL LOUISIANA.

AT 4 PM CDT...IVAN WAS LOCATED AT 24.2 N 86.6 W...WHICH IS 560
MILES SOUTHEAST OF CAMERON OR 515 MILES SOUTHEAST OF INTRACOASTAL
CITY. MOVEMENT WAS NORTHWEST AT 9 MPH. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS WERE
140 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS.

RESIDENTS NEAR THE COAST SHOULD BE ALERT TO COASTAL FLOODING
DEVELOPING THIS EVENING THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS ESPECIALLY

AT 400 PM...COASTAL TIDE READINGS WERE AROUND 4 FEET. THESE READINGS
WILL INCREASE TO 4 1/2 FEET DURING HIGH TIDE BETWEEN 3 AM AND 5 AM
EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING.

TORNADOES ARE NOT EXPECTED THROUGH TONIGHT ACROSS SOUTHWEST TEXAS
OR SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA.

SCATTERED SHOWERS WILL KEEP RAINFALL AMOUNTS MINIMAL OVERNIGHT.
RAINFALL WILL GENERALLY BE CONFINED TO SOUTH CENTRAL LOUISIANA.
