FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...
THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON DANGEROUS
HURRICANE IVAN LOCATED ABOUT 145 MILES EAST-NORTHEAST OF BONAIRE IN
THE NETHERLAND ANTILLES. I
TROPICAL DEPRESSION FRANCES IS CENTERED OVER EASTERN TENNESSEE
MOVING NORTHWARD AT 10 MPH. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON FRANCES CAN
BE FOUND IN PUBLIC ADVISORIES ISSUED BY THE HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL
PREDICTION CENTER UNDER AWIPS HEADER TCPAT1 AND WMO HEADER WTNT31
KWNH.
AN AREA OF DISTURBED WEATHER LOCATED ABOUT 600 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS IS MOVING WESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH. THERE
ARE NO SIGNS OF DEVELOPMENT.
A LARGE TROPICAL WAVE...ACCOMPANIED BY A WEAK SURFACE LOW PRESSURE
AREA...IS CENTERED MIDWAY BETWEEN AFRICA AND THE LESSER ANTILLES.
THIS SYSTEM IS REMAINS POORLY ORGANIZED BUT IT HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR
SLOW DEVELOPMENT DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO AS IT MOVES WEST-
NORTHWESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH.
AN ELONGATED LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CENTERED ABOUT 575 MILES SOUTHWEST
OF THE AZORES ISLANDS IS MOVING SLOWLY NORTHEASTWARD. UPPER-LEVEL
WINDS ARE NOT FAVORABLE FOR DEVELOPMENT.
ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
THURSDAY.
