LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 28.7 NORTH...LONGITUDE 83.5 WEST...OR ABOUT
45 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF CEDAR KEY. FRANCES IS MOVING TOWARD THE
WEST NORTHWEST NEAR 12 MPH...AND A GRADUAL TURN TOWARD THE NORTHWEST
IS EXPECTED BY THIS AFTERNOON.
...CURRENT RADAR INFORMATION...
BANDS OF HEAVY RAIN CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE WEST FLORIDA COASTLINE
FROM CAPE CORAL TO CEDAR KEY. THE BANDS ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE LITTLE
FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS. HEAVY RAINS OF AN INCH AN HOUR AND GUSTY
WINDS UP TO 60 MPH ACCOMPANY THE HEAVIEST BANDS FROM ENGLEWOOD
NORTH. WINDS GUSTS WILL BE UP TO 45 MPH IN LEE AND CHARLOTTE
COUNTIES.

THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE ALONG THE COAST EARLY THIS MORNING
ASSOCIATED WITH SPIRAL BANDS FEEDING INTO THE STORM. GUSTS ALONG THE
IMMEDIATE COAST COULD APPROACH 60 MPH. THE REMAINDER OF THE AREA
SHOULD GENERALLY SEE WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH.

WATER LEVELS OF 2 TO 4 FEET ABOVE NORMAL ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE AREA
THIS MORNING. BEACH EROSION AND SPLASHOVER IS LIKELY. MINOR FLOODING
OF LOW LYING COASTAL AREAS IS ALSO POSSIBLE DURING TIME OF HIGH TIDE.

ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN OF 2 TO 4 INCHES IS EXPECTED ACROSS MOST OF THE
AREA TODAY. MODERATE TO MAJOR FLOODING ON RIVERS WILL DEVELOP OVER
MUCH OF WEST CENTRAL FLORIDA TODAY. RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG
STREAMS...CREEKS...AND RIVERS ACROSS THE REGION SHOULD BE PREPARED
FOR SIGNIFICANT FLOODING AND TAKE ACTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND
PROPERTY.

TROPICAL STORM FORCE WIND GUSTS ARE OCCURRING AS THE SPIRAL BANDS
MOVE OVER THE COASTAL WATERS...WITH SOME GUSTS NEAR HURRICANE FORCE
FROM THE MOUTH OF TAMPA BAY NORTHWARD. SMALL CRAFT SHOULD REMAIN IN
PORT.

ISOLATED TORNADOES WILL BE POSSIBLE WITHIN THE SPIRAL BANDS.
ANY TORNADOES THAT FORM WILL MOVE VERY QUICKLY AND BE SHORT LIVED.
