HEADING TOWARD THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE...

THIS STATEMENT APPLIES TO PERSONS IN PALM BEACH...BROWARD...MIAMI
-DADE...COLLIER...HENDRY...GLADES AND MAINLAND MONROE COUNTIES.

A TROPICAL STORM WARNING FOR THE SOUTHWEST FLORIDA GULF COAST FROM
BONITA BEACH TO THE KEYS...INCLUDING FLORIDA BAY...AND ALSO FOR LAKE
OKEECHOBEE HAS BEEN CANCELED.
THE FLOOD WATCH FOR ALL SOUTH FLORIDA COUNTIES HAS BEEN CANCELED.
A WIND ADVISORY FOR INTERIOR AND SOUTHEAST FLORIDA HAS BEEN
CANCELED.
...STORM INFORMATION...
AT 2 AM EDT...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM FRANCES WAS LOCATED NEAR
LATITUDE 28.6 NORTH...LONGITUDE 83.3 WEST. THIS LOCATION IS ABOUT 40
MILES WEST OF BAYPORT FLORIDA. THIS IS ALSO ABOUT 150 MILES SOUTHEAST
OF APALACHICOLA FLORIDA. FRANCES IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST
NEAR 10 MPH. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE 65 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS.
THERE IS A CHANCE THAT FRANCES WILL BECOME A HURRICANE AGAIN OVER THE
GULF OF MEXICO BEFORE MAKING LANDFALL IN THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE.

EMERGENCY MANAGERS IN PALM BEACH...MIAMI-DADE AND BROWARD COUNTIES
HAVE RESCINDED ALL EVACUATION ORDERS AND SHELTERS WILL BE CLOSING.
...STORM SURGE FLOOD AND STORM TIDE IMPACTS...
THE WATER LEVELS IN LAKE OKEECHOBEE WILL CONTINUE TO GRADUALLY RETURN
TO NORMAL THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THIS MORNING AND INTO MONDAY. LAST
RECORDED WATER LEVEL ON THE NORTH END WAS AROUND 15 FEET ABOVE SEA
LEVEL AT 10 PM SUNDAY NIGHT. THE PRESTORM WATER LEVELS WERE RUNNING
JUST UNDER 14 FEET.
FOR THE SOUTHWEST FLORIDA COAST...THE STORM TIDE OF 1 TO 3 FEET WILL
CONTINUE TO SLOWLY RECEDE THIS MORNING...AS THE SOUTHWEST WINDS
SLOWLY DECREASE AND BECOME SOUTH LATER TODAY. ALONG THE TEN THOUSAND
ISLANDS OF MAINLAND MONROE COUNTY AND IN THE CHOKOLOSKEE AND
EVERGLADES CITY AREAS OF COLLIER COUNTY...THIS WILL LIKELY FLOOD
PORTIONS OF STATE ROAD 29 BETWEEN THE TAMIAMI TRAIL AND CHOKOLOSKEE
...FROM MARCO ISLAND NORTH TO NAPLES AND FROM NAPLES TO BONITA BEACH.
THE MAXIMUM STORM TIDE WILL RECEDE TO 1 TO 2 FEET LATER TODAY AS THE
WIND BECOMES MORE FROM THE SOUTH.

AT 2 AM...WINDS AT NAPLES WERE GUSTING TO AROUND 35 MPH. OVER THE
REMAINDER OF SOUTH FLORIDA...WINDS WERE FREQUENTLY GUSTING TO 25 TO
30 MPH...BUT MAINLY ALONG THE ATLANTIC AND GULF COASTS. THE WIND
ADVISORY HAS BEEN CANCELED.
...LOCAL MARINE IMPACTS...
AT 2 AM...SUSTAINED WINDS ACROSS LAKE OKEECHOBEE WERE AROUND 25 TO 30
KNOTS WITH OCCASIONAL GUSTS AROUND 35 KNOTS. AT FOWEY ROCKS...
SUSTAINED WINDS WERE 28 KNOTS GUSTING TO 31 KNOTS WHILE AT LAKE
WORTH SUSTAINED WINDS WERE 27 KNOTS WITH GUSTS TO 30 KNOTS. IN ALL
SOUTH FLORIDA WATERS INCLUDING LAKE OKEECHOBEE.
ACROSS THE GULF COASTAL WATERS OF SOUTHWEST FLORIDA...SUSTAINED WINDS
WERE 20 TO 25 KNOTS WITH GUSTS TO 30 KNOTS. WINDS AND SEAS WILL
CONTINUE TO SLOWLY SUBSIDE TODAY.
SMALL CRAFT ADVISORIES WILL BE IN EFFECT THE REMAINDER OF THIS
MORNING AND INTO TODAY ON LAKE OKEECHOBEE AND IN THE GULF AND
ATLANTIC COASTAL WATERS.

THROUGH 8 PM...THE GREATEST STORM TOTAL AMOUNT HAS BEEN 13.55 INCHES
AT PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. ABOUT EIGHT INCHES HAS FALLEN AT
AN AUTOMATED RAIN GAUGE ABOUT HALFWAY BETWEEN PALM BEACH
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND WELLINGTON. STORM TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS
HAVE AVERAGED 3 TO 5 INCHES ACROSS PALM BEACH COUNTY AND ONE TO THREE
INCHES ELSEWHERE...EXCEPT ACROSS EASTERN MIAMI DADE WHERE DOPPLER
RADAR INDICATED THAT AS MUCH AS 3 TO 5 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN
SINCE NOON SUNDAY. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 INCH WILL BE
POSSIBLE AS WEAKENING RAIN BANDS ASSOCIATED WITH FRANCES MOVE ACROSS
SOUTH FLORIDA THE REMAINDER OF THIS MORNING.
