STORM SURGE FLOOD AND STORM TIDE IMPACTS HAVE BEEN REFINED.

KEYS...FROM THE SEVEN MILE BRIDGE TO FLORIDA CITY INCLUDING FLORIDA
BAY.
A TROPICAL STORM WARNING MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS OF 39 TO 73 MPH
ARE LIKELY IN THE WARNED AREA...WITHIN 24 HOURS.

AT 100 AM THE CENTER OF HURRICANE FRANCES WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE
27.2 NORTH...LONGITUDE 80.2 WEST...NEAR STEWART AND JENSEN BEACH.
FRANCES WAS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NORTHWEST AT 7 MPH. MAXIMUM
SUSTAINED WINDS WERE NEAR 105 MPH...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. FRANCES WAS A
STRONG CATEGORY TWO ON THE SAFFIR-SIMPSON SCALE. ESTIMATED MINIMUM
CENTRAL PRESSURE WAS 960 MB...OR 28.35 INCHES.

MONROE COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL ARE ON LEVEL TWO PARTIAL
ACTIVATION.
KEY WEST AIRPORT HAS SUSPENDED COMMERCIAL DEPARTURES. GENERAL
AVIATION IS STILL OPERATING. MARATHON AIRPORT IS OPERATIONAL.
GREYHOUND BUS LINES HAVE SUSPENDED SERVICE DUE TO HIGH WINDS.
TOLLS HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED ON CARD SOUND ROAD.
RESIDENTS IN THE MIDDLE AND UPPER KEYS SHOULD SECURE LOOSE OBJECTS.

PEAK WINDS TO 60 MILES AN HOUR HAVE BEEN MEASURED AT FOWEY ROCKS AND
MOLASSES REEF. THE PEAK WIND SO FAR AT KEY WEST IS 43 MILES AN HOUR.
THESE GUSTS WILL OCCUR DURING INFREQUENT SQUALLS.

SMALL CRAFT THROUGHOUT THE KEYS SHOULD REMAIN IN PORT TODAY. SEAS
WILL BUILD TO 15 FEET BEYOND THE REEF THIS AFTERNOON. BAY WATERS
WILL BE VERY ROUGH.
...STORM SURGE FLOOD AND STORM TIDE IMPACTS...
TIDE LEVELS IN THE MIDDLE AND UPPER KEYS ARE ABOUT ONE FOOT ABOVE
NORMAL AT THIS TIME.
STRONG WEST AND SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL CAUSE WATER LEVELS TO RISE AT
THE JEWFISH CREEK CHOKE POINT. LEVELS UP TO THREE FEET ABOVE NORMAL
WILL OCCUR HERE THIS MORNING. THIS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE TIME OF
HIGH TIDE WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY 200 PM...AFTER WHICH WATER LEVELS
GRADUALLY WILL RECEDE.
