SOUTHEAST OF KEY WEST. CHARLEY IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NORTHWEST
NEAR 15 MPH...AND A TURN TO THE NORTHWEST IS EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 24 HOURS. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 85 MPH...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. CONDITIONS APPEAR TO BE FAVORABLE FOR CONTINUED
INTENSIFICATION. MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE JUST REPORTED BY A

EVENING AND FRIDAY MORNING. AS HURRICANE CHARLEY IS CURRENTLY
FORECAST TO PASS JUST WEST OF THE KEYS...THE GREATEST THREAT OF
STORM SURGE WILL BE ALONG THE SOUTHERN...ATLANTIC SHORES OF THE KEYS.

CURRENTLY...WINDS OVER THE KEYS ARE FROM THE EAST SOUTHEAST AT 10 TO
15 MPH. ALONG THE REEF...AUTOMATED COASTAL STATIONS REPORT EAST
WINDS 10 TO 15 KNOTS. ISOLATED SHOWERS OVER THE KEYS COASTAL
WATERS...NOT IN DIRECT ASSOCIATION WITH HURRICANE CHARLEY...MAY
BRING BRIEF GUSTS UP TO 25 KNOTS OVER THE KEYS WATERS EARLY THIS
