...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1000 PM CDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN DICKSON...CENTRAL MONTGOMERY...NORTHERN CHEATHAM AND
SOUTHWESTERN ROBERTSON COUNTIES...
At 943 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Vanleer to Adam s, moving southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Dickson, Ashland City, Clarksville, Coopertown, Burns, Pleasant View,
Charlotte, Vanleer, Slayden, Cheatham Dam, and Cunningham.
This includes Interstate 24 between mile markers 8 and 29.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from
windows.
