Areas affected...Eastern Louisiana...southern Mississippi...southern
Middle Tennessee...western Alabama and the far western Florida
Panhandle.
Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 263...
Valid 102319Z - 110045Z
The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 263
continues.
SUMMARY...Intermittent damaging wind gusts are possible this evening
from southern Alabama into the Florida Panhandle and vicinity.
DISCUSSION...Numerous, mostly non-severe, thunderstorms continue
east and southeast across Mississippi and southeast Louisiana. Some
of the stronger storms have had occasional damaging wind gusts, but
overall storm organization remains nebulous amid weak shear (Less
than 20 knots of flow below 8 km). Therefore, expect a threat for a
few stronger storms to persist for 2 to 3 more hours before the
threat wanes near sunset as instability weakens. No downstream watch
is anticipated.
