...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southern Dickson,
northwestern Maury, western Williamson, east central Humphreys and
northeastern Hickman Counties through 700 AM CDT...
At 630 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles north of Centerville, moving southeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Franklin, Dickson, Centerville, Thompson's Station, Burns, Fairview,
Bon Aqua, Primm Springs, Lyles, Santa Fe, Pinewood, Williamsport,
Leipers Fork and Nunnelly.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between mile markers 153 and 182.
Interstate 840 between mile markers 1 and 26.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 AM CDT for
Middle Tennessee.
