...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following
counties, Macon, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale and Wilson.
* WHEN...Until 745 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 438 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Goose Creek including areas near Meadorville, Hillsdale,
Beech Grove and Halltown, Upper Bledsoe Creek including
Bethpage and Bransford, Lower Bledsoe Creek including
Castalian Springs, Dixon Creek including Dixon Springs,
Middle Fork Drakes Creek including areas near Fairfield and
Withamtown, and Little Goose Creek including Hartsville.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Gallatin, Lafayette, Hartsville, Westmoreland, Portland,
Mitchellville, Bethpage, Dickerson Chapel Recreation Area,
Bledsoe Creek State Park, Dixon Springs, Oak Grove and
Pleasant Shade.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
