...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southern Overton and
central Putnam Counties through 1000 PM CDT...
At 911 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
near Cookeville, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Cookeville, Algood, Monterey, Baxter and Rickman.
This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 276 and 302.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for
Middle Tennessee.
