...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of De Kalb, Van Buren,
Warren, northern Grundy, White and southwestern Putnam Counties
through 600 PM CDT...

At 510 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles north of Smithville to 8 miles north of
McMinnville to 15 miles northwest of Gruetli-Laager. Movement was
east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Cookeville, McMinnville, Sparta, Smithville, Spencer, Altamont,
Doyle, Beersheba Springs, Viola, Hamptons Crossroads, Bakers
Crossroads, Virgin Falls State Natural Area, Burgess Falls State
Park, Rock Island State Park, Center Hill Lake, Fall Creek Falls
State Park and Edgar Evans State Park.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 270 and 277, and
between mile markers 296 and 297.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for
Middle Tennessee.
