THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER WAS WARMER AND DRIER THAN NORMAL, ALTHOUGH
MIDDLE TENNESSEE STILL ENJOYS A SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL SURPLUS FOR
2020.
IN NASHVILLE, THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 53.9
DEGREES, WHICH IS 4.1 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THE AVERAGE HIGH
TEMPERATURE WAS 66.3 DEGREES AND THE AVERAGE LOW WAS 41.6. THE
WARMEST TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 83 DEGREES ON THE 9TH, AND
THE COOLEST READING WAS 32 DEGREES ON THE 18TH AND 30TH.
RAINFALL FOR THE MONTH TOTALED JUST 1.20 INCHES. THAT'S 3.11 INCHES
BELOW NORMAL. THE GREATEST RAINFALL IN 24 HOURS WAS 0.85 INCHES ON
THE 29TH AND 30TH. THERE WERE JUST 6 DAYS WITH MEASURABLE
PRECIPITATION. THERE WAS ALSO 0.2 INCHES OF SNOW WHICH OCCURRED
ON THE 30TH. YEAR-TO-DATE RAINFALL STANDS AT 47.94 INCHES, WHICH
IS 4.93 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL.
THE FASTEST WIND GUST WAS 53 MPH ON THE 15TH. THERE WAS ALSO A 44
MPH WIND GUST MEASURED ON THE 25TH.
AT CROSSVILLE, THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR NOVEMBER WAS 49.1
DEGREES. THIS IS 1.6 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THE AVERAGE HIGH
TEMPERATURE WAS 60.5 DEGREES AND THE AVERAGE LOW WAS 37.7. THE
WARMEST TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 75 DEGREES ON THE 9TH, AND
THE COOLEST READING WAS 27 DEGREES ON THE 30TH. THERE WERE 7 DAYS
WHEN THE TEMPERATURE DROPPED TO 32 DEGREES OR BELOW.
RAINFALL FOR THE MONTH ADDED UP TO 2.61 INCHES. THAT'S 2.49 INCHES
BELOW NORMAL. THE MOST RAINFALL IN 24 HOURS WAS 1.14 INCHES ON THE
11TH. THERE WERE 6 DAYS WITH MEASURABLE PRECIPITATION. YEAR-TO-
DATE RAINFALL HAS REACHED 71.83 INCHES, WHICH IS 21.69 INCHES
ABOVE NORMAL.
THE FASTEST WIND GUST WAS 46 MPH ON THE 15TH.
AT CLARKSVILLE, THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR NOVEMBER WAS 51.6
DEGREES. THIS IS 3.2 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THE AVERAGE HIGH
TEMPERATURE WAS 64.3 DEGREES AND THE AVERAGE LOW WAS 38.8. THE
WARMEST TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 80 DEGREES ON THE 8TH, AND
THE COOLEST READING WAS 27 DEGREES ON THE 2ND AND 18TH. THERE WERE
8 DAYS WHEN THE TEMPERATURE DROPPED TO 32 DEGREES OR BELOW.
RAINFALL FOR THE MONTH ADDED UP TO 1.58 INCHES. THAT'S 3.00 INCHES
BELOW NORMAL. THE MOST RAINFALL IN 24 HOURS WAS 0.50 INCHES ON THE
14TH AND 15TH. THERE WERE 7 DAYS WITH MEASURABLE PRECIPITATION. YEAR-
TO-DATE RAINFALL STANDS AT 49.99 INCHES, WHICH IS 4.84 INCHES ABOVE
NORMAL.
THE FASTEST WIND GUST WAS 48 MPH ON THE 15TH.
THE OUTLOOK FOR DECEMBER FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE FROM THE CLIMATE
PREDICATION CENTER CALLS FOR NEAR NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND BELOW
NORMAL PRECIPITATION.
