...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR EASTERN DAVIDSON...SOUTHWESTERN
SUMNER AND NORTHWESTERN WILSON COUNTIES UNTIL 915 PM CDT...

At 846 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Antioch, or 9 miles southeast of Nashville, moving north at 35 mph.
This strong thunderstorm has already produced a wind gust
approaching 55 mph at the Nashville International Airport at
832 PM CDT.

Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph, pea size hail, frequent cloud to ground
lightning strikes, and brief heavy rainfall will be possible with
this storm.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 40 between mile markers 210 and 229.
 Interstate 65 between mile markers 77 and 82, and between mile
markers 90 and 101.
 Interstate 24 between mile markers 48 and 61.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Brief heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized minor flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
