...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1100 PM CDT FOR
MACON COUNTY...
At 928 PM CDT, most of the thunderstorms and heavy rain have ended
across the warned area. Earlier, emergency management reported
significant road flooding west of Lafayette. Radar estimates
indicate that 1.5 to 3 inches of rain fell over this area during the
past several hours. Although the rain has mostly ended, flash
flooding may still occur as runoff continues.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lafayette and Red Boiling Springs.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
