...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHERN OVERTON...SOUTHEASTERN
JACKSON AND CENTRAL PUTNAM COUNTIES UNTIL 245 PM CDT...

At 205 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms centered over Cookeville, moving northeast at 35 mph.

Dime size hail, wind gusts up to 50 mph, brief heavy rainfall, and
frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Cookeville, Livingston, Algood, Monterey, Baxter, Crawford, Burgess
Falls State Park, Rickman and Cummins Falls State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Brief heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with theses storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
