The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a
* Flood Advisory for...
Southeastern Rutherford County in Middle Tennessee...
* Until 530 PM CDT
* At 234 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain, with amounts of
1 to 1.5 inches falling in a short amount of time. This will cause
minor flooding of smaller creeks and streams in the advisory area.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Murfreesboro, Fosterville and Christiana, as well as areas
within the West Fork and Middle Fork of the Stones River basin.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
