The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a
* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Hickman County in Middle Tennessee...
* Until 1030 PM CDT
* At 733 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to an area
of numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms moving across
Hickman County. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
the advisory area. Between one and one half inches to two and one
half inches of rainfall have already fallen generally along and
either side of an line stretching from Coble to Pinewood. An
additional one half to around an inch of rainfall may be possible
across this area through the evening hours, and could result in at
least minor flooding.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
