Patchy freezing fog is expected in Middle Tennessee early this
morning, especially near rivers and lakes. Motorists should
exercise appropriate caution when driving through foggy areas.

Remember, in this type of weather driving visibilities can differ
considerably from place to place. There may be some areas where
there is little or no fog, and driving visibilities are
unrestricted. However, you may quickly drive into an area of fog,
where visibilities drop considerably. Be ready to slow down as you
head into foggy areas so that you will have sufficient braking
distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you. Also, remember,
where dense freezing fog occurs, icy patches may develop along
bridges and overpasses...especially where the air temperature is
in the 20s.
