AT 930 PM...SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO DEVELOP...
AND MOVE QUICKLY TOWARD THE EAST...ACROSS THE NORTH HALF OF MIDDLE
TENNESSEE...AND IN SOUTHERN KENTUCKY. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN NUMBER...DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS.
SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE ALSO INDICATED ON THE MEMPHIS
RADAR...ACROSS THE NORTH HALF OF WEST TENNESSEE...BACK INTO NORTHERN
ARKANSAS. THIS ACTIVITY WILL TRAIN EAST INTO NORTHERN MIDDLE
TENNESSEE OVERNIGHT.
THE SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE DEVELOPING ON THE NOSE
OF A 50 KNOT LOW LEVEL JET...EXTENDING NORTHEAST INTO MIDDLE
TENNESSEE FROM MISSISSIPPI. THIS IS ALSO IN AN AREA OF STRONG LOW
LEVEL WARMING...AND SURFACE MOISTURE CONVERGENCE. THE SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME MORE NUMEROUS ACROSS THE NORTH
HALF OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE AS WE GO THROUGH THE NIGHT TIME
HOURS...WITH THE HEAVIEST CONCENTRATION OF SHOWERS AND STORMS NEAR
THE KENTUCKY BORDER.
IN ADDITION...A WARM FRONT IS EXPECTED TO PULL NORTHWARD INTO MIDDLE
TENNESSEE BY AROUND MIDNIGHT. THE WARM FRONT WILL ENHANCE THE
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE NORTHERN HALF OF MIDDLE
TENNESSEE...WHILE THE SOUTHERN AREAS REMAIN IN THE WARM SECTOR...AND
MAY ONLY RECEIVE ISOLATED TO SCATTERED CONVECTION.
