...A RIVER FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF THE HARPETH RIVER...
AFFECTING THESE COUNTIES IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE: CHEATHAM.
HARPETH RIVER NEAR KINGSTON SPRINGS...
* FLOOD STAGE: 15.0 FEET.
* LATEST STAGE: 15.2 FEET AND STEADY AT 1030 AM WEDNESDAY.
* RIVER FORECAST: FORECAST TO RECEDE SLOWLY THIS MORNING THEN FALL
BELOW FLOOD STAGE LATER TODAY.
* FLOOD CATEGORY: THESE LEVELS WILL PRODUCE MINOR FLOODING.
* RIVER CRESTED: AT 20.0 FT YESTERDAY AFTERNOON.
AT THESE LEVELS...THE RIVER OVERFLOWS THE LEFT BANK AND FLOODS BOTTOMLAND ALONG
THE RIVER. SEVERAL SECONDARY ROADS NEAR THE RIVER ARE CUT OFF. MOSTLY
AGRICULTURAL BOTTOMLAND IS AFFECTED.
PERSONS LIVING ALONG THE RIVER AND THOSE WITH RIVER INTERESTS SHOULD CONTINUE TO
MONITOR WATER LEVELS. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
