**NICHOLAS MOVING TOWARD THE CENTRAL TEXAS COAST**

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - All watches and warnings have been canceled

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 120 miles north-northeast of Brownsville TX or about 90
      miles northeast of Port Mansfield TX
    - 27.4N 96.4W
    - Storm Intensity 65 mph
    - Movement North-northeast or 15 degrees at 12 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Tropical Storm Nicholas, currently edging north of our offshore Gulf
waters, continues to move northward. Nicholas is still expected to make
landfall along the middle Texas coast early tonight. Brief isolated
heavy rainfall and gusty winds remain possible in any band of showers
along the coast into early this evening. Minor coastal flooding or run-
up to the dunes is possible leading into high tide tonight near 1 AM
CDT. Marine conditions will gradually improve into Tuesday.

Little to no additional impacts are anticipated at this time across
The Rio Grande Valley and Deep South Texas.

* WIND:
Little to no additional impacts are anticipated at this time across

to no impact is anticipated.

Little to no additional impacts are anticipated at this time across

Do not enter evacuated areas until officials have given the all clear
to return.

Be alert for any lingering wind gusts which could take down weakened
