**CLAUDETTE NEARING THE MID-ATLANTIC COASTAL WATERS**

NEW INFORMATION

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - All watches and warnings have been canceled

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - None

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 90 miles north-northwest of Buxton NC or about 120 miles
      north-northeast of Morehead City NC
    - 36.4N 76.3W
    - Storm Intensity 40 mph
    - Movement East-northeast or 65 degrees at 28 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Claudette will continue to move offshore this morning with conditions
improving across the area. However, dangerous marine conditions and
frequent rip currents will continue to be a concern through midweek.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS

* OTHER COASTAL HAZARDS:
Strong rip currents, longshore currents and rough surf will continue
along the beaches today.

Be alert for any lingering wind gusts which could take down weakened
trees and/or power lines.
