**IDA MOVING INTO MISSISSIPPI - ALL AREA WARNINGS DROPPED**

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - All watches and warnings have been canceled

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - None

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 100 miles east of Alexandria LA
    - 31.0N 90.8W
    - Storm Intensity 60 mph
    - Movement North or 355 degrees at 8 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Ida has weakened to a tropical storm as it moves northward into
extreme southwestern Mississippi. A few gusts to near tropical
storm will be possible this morning across Avoyelles Parish in
closest proximity to the center of the storm before it moves farther
away from the region. A few gusts may also occur over the coastal
waters in vicinity of the mouth of the Atchafalaya River as well.
However widespread wind impacts are no longer expected, along with
flooding rain, storm surge or tornado impacts.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* WIND:
Little to no additional impacts are anticipated at this time
across Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas.

* SURGE:
Little to no additional surge impacts are expected across Southwest
Louisiana and Southeast Texas.

* FLOODING RAIN:
Little to no additional impacts are anticipated across Southwest
Louisiana and Southeast Texas.

* TORNADOES:
No tornadoes are anticipated at this time across Southwest Louisiana
and Southeast Texas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS

* EVACUATIONS:
Do not enter evacuated areas until officials have given the all clear
to return.

* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:
Check in with your emergency points of contact. Let them know your
location and status. Keep conversations short and to the point. Do
not tie up communications systems.
