**CRISTOBAL CONTINUES TO MOVE INLAND**

NEW INFORMATION
---------------

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - The Storm Surge Warning has been cancelled and replaced with
      a coastal flood advisory

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - None

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 150 miles north-northwest of New Orleans LA or about 180
      miles west-northwest of Gulfport MS
    - 31.8N 91.6W
    - Storm Intensity 35 mph
    - Movement North-northwest or 330 degrees at 10 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Cristobal has weakened to a tropical depression this morning. The
depression is expected to continue moving to the north-northwest today
with winds diminishing today and tonight. Streaks of showers and
thunderstorms will still move through the region, possibly posing a
localized flooding rain threat today and tonight.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* SURGE:

Water levels will remain elevated and minor to locally moderate coastal
flooding will be possible during high tide today, especially for immediate
coastal areas from the mouth of the Mississippi River eastward across the
Mississippi Coast.

Elsewhere across Southeast Louisiana and South Mississippi, little to
no impact is anticipated.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
----------------------------------

* EVACUATIONS:
Do not enter evacuated areas until officials have
given the all clear to return.


* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:
Be alert for flooded roads which could be compromised or littered
with debris. Avoid travel until water levels subside and roads have
been cleared. Do not drive through places where flood waters cover
the road. Turn around, don't drown!
