    - About 100 miles south-southeast of Destin FL
    - 29.0N 86.0W
    - Storm Intensity 50 mph
    - Movement Northeast or 45 degrees at 17 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------
At 400 AM CDT, the broad circulation center of Tropical Storm Nestor was estimated near
latitude 29.0 North, longitude 86.0 West. Nestor is expected to move toward the northeast
near 17 mph, and this general motion is expected to continue today. On the forecast track,
Nestor will move inland over the Florida Panhandle later this morning, and will then move
across portions of the southeastern United States later today.

Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph with higher gusts. No change in strength is
anticipated before Nestor reaches the coast, but is forecast to weaken after it moves
inland. The estimated minimum central pressure is 998 mb (29.47 inches).

POTENTIAL IMPACTS

* OTHER COASTAL HAZARDS:

High surf with breaker heights of 6 to 10 feet from Fort Morgan, AL east to Destin, FL
through mid morning. A High Surf Advisory remains in effect for Dauphin Island with breaker
heights of 5 to 7 feet. This pounding surf will create minor coastal flooding with inundation
of 1 to 2 feet expected through sunrise. Tides, however, are now falling. There is a high risk
of rip currents through sunrise Sunday morning due to increased swell height and strong
easterly winds.
