**MICHAEL BECOMES A STORM-FORCE POST-TROPICAL LOW AS IT MOVES AWAY
FROM THE UNITED STATES**

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - All watches and warnings have been canceled

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - None

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 230 miles northeast of Buxton NC or about 300 miles
      northeast of Morehead City NC
    - 38.0N 73.1W
    - Storm Intensity 65 mph
    - Movement East-northeast or 65 degrees at 29 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Post-Tropical Cyclone Michael will continue to move away from
US coast today. Minor sound side flooding will continue for areas
adjacent to the Albemarle and Pamlico Sounds this morning, with
highest values north of Cape Hatteras. Some roads may still be
impassable this morning. Water levels will continue to recede and
improve through the morning as winds continue to diminish.

A high threat of rip currents continues along the Eastern North
Carolina beaches today.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS

* SURGE:
Water levels along the sound side of the Outer Banks will continue to
recede through the morning.

* OTHER COASTAL HAZARDS:
A high threat of rip currents will continue along the Eastern North
Carolina beaches today.

Be alert for flooded roads along the Outer Banks this morning.
Do not drive through places where flood waters cover the road.
Turn around, don't drown!
