**Tropical Storm Michael Pushes Northeast of Central North Carolina**

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - All watches and warnings have been canceled

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - None

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 170 miles east-northeast of Raleigh NC or about 220 miles
      east-northeast of Greensboro NC
    - 37.1N 76.1W
    - Storm Intensity 50 mph
    - Movement Northeast or 55 degrees at 25 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

The impacts from Tropical Storm Michael have diminished across central
North Carolina. The center, now located over the DELMARVA Peninsula,
is expected to continue offshore into the Atlantic overnight.
Additional sub-tropical storm force wind gusts will remain possible
overnight, with drier conditions prevailing by Friday morning.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* WIND:
A few additional wind gusts will remain possible, but little to no impacts
are anticipated at this time across central North Carolina.

* FLOODING RAIN:
Little to no additional impacts are anticipated at this time across
central North Carolina. Ongoing Flash Flooding will recede overnight,
and transition to primarily a lingering river flooding threat through
the end of the weekend.

* TORNADOES:
No impacts are anticipated at this time across central North Carolina.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
----------------------------------

* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:
Limit travel overnight until conditions improve. When going outside be
sure to stay away from downed power lines, hazardous debris and flooded
areas.

Be alert for any lingering wind gusts which could take down weakened
trees and/or power lines, collapse damaged structures, or cause
flying debris.

Be alert for potential flooding from rising rivers and streams which
may have yet to crest. Remain informed of the latest river forecasts
and heed any flood watches and warnings.
