This product covers Southeastern North Carolina.

**Potential Tropical Cyclone Ten will pass near Cape Fear this morning,
then accelerate northeastward later today**


NEW INFORMATION
---------------

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - The Tropical Storm Watch has been cancelled for Coastal
      Georgetown, Coastal Horry, Inland Georgetown, and Inland Horry

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for Coastal Brunswick,
      Coastal New Hanover, Coastal Pender, Inland Brunswick, Inland
      New Hanover, and Inland Pender

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 70 miles southwest of Wilmington NC or about 30 miles
      east-southeast of Myrtle Beach SC
    - 33.5N 78.5W
    - Storm Intensity 40 mph
    - Movement Northeast or 45 degrees at 12 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

The center of Potential Tropical Cyclone Ten is approaching Cape
Fear and should accelerate out to the northeast later today. This
system still may strengthen into a tropical storm later today, and
a Tropical Storm Watch remains posted along the coast north of
Little River Inlet, SC. Showers will taper off later this morning
with improving weather conditions anticipated throughout the day.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* WIND:
Prepare for hazardous wind having possible limited impacts across
Southeastern North Carolina. Potential impacts in this area include:
    - Unsecured lightweight objects may be blown about.
    - Some large limbs may break from trees. A few shallow rooted or
      weak trees may snap or be knocked down.
    - Scattered power and communications outages are possible.

Elsewhere across Southeastern North Carolina, little to no impact is
anticipated.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS

* EVACUATIONS:
No evacuations are required.
