AT 1 PM CHST...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM HALONG (11W) WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 14.1N...LONGITUDE 144.9E...OR ABOUT 45 MILES
NORTH-NORTHEAST OF GUAM AND ABOUT 90 MILES SOUTHWEST OF SAIPAN.
STORM MOTION WAS TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST AT 9 MPH. STORM
INTENSITY WAS 65 MPH.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
AS TROPICAL STORM HALONG BEGINS TO MOVE AWAY FROM THE MARIANAS...
RADAR AND SATELLITE IMAGERY SHOW THE HEAVIEST SHOWERS AND STRONGEST
WINDS ARE OCCURRING ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE SYSTEM. WINDS HAVE
BEGUN TO DECREASE...BUT LARGE WAVES WILL CONTINUE ARRIVING TONIGHT
AND TOMORROW. EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL ALSO CAUSE LOCALIZED FLOODING
IN POOR DRAINAGE AND HIGHLY URBANIZED AREAS OF GUAM AND ROTA THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
