LATITUDE 36.0N...LONGITUDE 75.3W. THIS WAS ABOUT 460 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF NANTUCKET MA. STORM MOTION WAS NE OR 40 DEGREES AT
23 MPH. STORM INTENSITY WAS 100 MPH.

THE CENTER OF HURRICANE ARTHUR IS EXPECTED TO PASS WITHIN 100

THE IMPACT FROM COMBINED STORM SURGE AND TIDE WATERS IS EXPECTED
TO BE MINIMAL. THE MAIN THREATS FOR COASTAL AREAS WILL BE HIGH
SURF...RIP CURRENTS AND SOME BEACH EROSION. THE COMBINATION OF
HIGH SURF AND RIP CURRENTS WILL MAKE MANY BEACHES DANGEROUS LATER
TODAY AND TONIGHT. THESE DANGEROUS CONDITIONS ARE LIKELY TO
PERSIST INTO SATURDAY...DESPITE THE MUCH BETTER WEATHER.

RAINFALL OF 2 TO 4 INCHES...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS UP TO 6
