SOUTHEAST OF CAMERON LA...OR ABOUT 160 MILES SOUTH OF MORGAN CITY
LA. STORM MOTION WAS NNW OR 330 DEGREES AT 8 MPH. STORM INTENSITY
WAS 40 MPH.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
DISORGANIZED TROPICAL STORM KAREN WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE SLOWLY NORTH
NORTHWESTWARD THIS MORNING TURNING TO THE NORTH THIS AFTERNOON AND
THEN NORTHEAST TONIGHT. HIGHER SWELLS FROM KAREN WILL CONTINUE TO
AFFECT THE COASTAL WATERS. WINDS WILL APPROACH TROPICAL STORM FORCE
THIS MORNING CONTINUING INTO THE AFTERNOON.

FORCE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BEGIN THIS MORNING. MAXIMUM WINDS ARE
FORECAST TO BE IN THE 25 TO 35 KNOTS RANGE WITH GUSTS TO
45 KNOTS.

SEAS ARE FORECAST TO BE 7 TO 12 FEET THIS MORNING BETWEEN 20 AND
60 NAUTICAL MILES...AND THEN STEADILY DECREASING TO BETWEEN 6 TO
7 FEET BY LATER THIS AFTERNOON.
