NEED TO EXPAND NORTHWARD.

RECOMMENDED ACTIONS FOR PEOPLE AND MARINE INTERESTS IN SELECT

AT 5 AM EDT...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM ISAAC WAS LOCATED NEAR
LATITUDE 19.0N...LONGITUDE 73.3W. THIS WAS ABOUT 740 MILES
SOUTHEAST OF FORT PIERCE FL. STORM MOTION WAS NW OR 320 DEGREES
AT 14 MPH. STORM INTENSITY WAS 60 MPH WITH A CENTRAL PRESSURE OF
992 MB OR 29.29 INCHES.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...

EAST CENTRAL FLORIDIANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO
ISAAC TODAY AS UPDATES TO LOCAL WATCHES WILL LIKELY OCCUR AS THE
DAY PROGRESSES. WARNINGS MAY ALSO BE NEEDED. ALSO LISTEN FOR ANY
IMPORTANT CHANGES TO THE FORECAST TRACK AND INTENSITY.

ACCORDING TO THE LATEST FORECAST...ISAAC WILL MOVE NORTHWEST OVER
EASTERN PORTIONS OF CUBA AND INTO THE FLORIDA STRAITS AND FLORIDA
KEYS LATE SUNDAY. AS IT LIFTS FURTHER NORTH MONDAY OFF THE WEST
COAST OF FLORIDA IT IS EXPECTED TO STRENGTHEN TO A HURRICANE.

IT IS TOO EARLY TO PROVIDE EXACT WIND FORECASTS AND SUBSEQUENT
IMPACTS FOR SPECIFIC LOCATIONS. A GENERAL CONCERN SHOULD BE FOR
THE POSSIBILITY OF AT LEAST MINOR TO LOCALLY MODERATE WIND DAMAGE
SOMEWHERE WITHIN EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA...WITH GREATER CHANCES ALONG
THE IMMEDIATE COAST FROM CAPE CANAVERAL SOUTHWARD...AND INLAND
TOWARD LAKE OKEECHOBEE AND THE KISSIMMEE RIVER.

THE MAIN PERIOD OF SIGNIFICANT WEATHER IS EXPECTED FROM MID SUNDAY
IN VICINITY OF LAKE OKEECHOBEE AND JUPITER INLET...THROUGH MONDAY
EVENING NORTH AND WEST OF ORLANDO. A 12 TO 18 HOUR PERIOD OF STRONG
WINDS AND GUSTS CAN BE EXPECTED FOR MOST AFFECTED LOCATIONS.

CURRENTLY...THE THREAT FROM STORM SURGE AND TIDE IS ASSESSED AS
BEING LOW BUT OF SOME MODEST CONCERN...WITH HEAVY SURF AND AN
