...JEANNE CONTINUES ITS PATH ACROSS NORTHERN FLORIDA...

A TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT ON THE ATLANTIC COAST
FROM NORTH OF COCOA BEACH TO THE SAVANNAH RIVER...AND ON THE GULF
COAST FROM ANCLOTE KEY TO APALACHICOLA.

AT 2 AM EDT...0600Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM JEANNE WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 30.1 NORTH...LONGITUDE  83.3 WEST OR ABOUT
50 MILES SOUTH OF VALDOSTA GEORGIA.

THE CENTER OF JEANNE HAS MOVED ERRATICALLY OVER THE PAST FEW
HOURS...BUT A NORTHWARD MOTION NEAR 12 MPH IS EXPECTED TO RESUME
SHORTLY AND CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR  50 MPH...WITH HIGHER GUSTS.
JEANNE IS EXPECTED TO WEAKEN TO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION LATER TODAY.

TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 175 MILES FROM THE
CENTER.

THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS  981 MB...28.97 INCHES.

STORM SURGE FLOODING OF 2 TO 4 FEET ABOVE NORMAL TIDE LEVELS IS
POSSIBLE IN THE WARNED AREA ALONG THE FLORIDA WEST COAST....AND
HIGHER AT THE HEADS OF BAYS.  TIDES COULD POSSIBLY REACH 3 TO 6 FEET
IN AREAS OF ONSHORE FLOW NORTH OF TAMPA BAY. STORM SURGE FLOODING
OF 1 TO 3 FEET ABOVE NORMAL TIDE LEVELS IS POSSIBLE IN THE WARNED
AREA ALONG THE NORTHEAST FLORIDA AND GEORGIA COASTS.

RAINFALL TOTALS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES...WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS
...ARE POSSIBLE NEAR THE PATH OF JEANNE.

ISOLATED TORNADOES ARE POSSIBLE OVER PORTIONS OF NORTHERN FLORIDA...
EASTERN GEORGIA...AND SOUTHERN SOUTH CAROLINA EARLY THIS MORNING.
LATER TODAY...ISOLATED TORNADOES WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER EASTERN
GEORGIA...MUCH OF SOUTH CAROLINA...AND SOUTHEASTERN NORTH CAROLINA.

REPEATING THE 2 AM EDT POSITION...30.1 N... 83.3 W.  MOVEMENT
TOWARD...NORTH NEAR 12 MPH.  MAXIMUM SUSTAINED
WINDS... 50 MPH.  MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE... 981 MB.
