EASTERN TROPICAL ATLANTIC...

AT 11 PM AST...0300Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM KARL WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 11.4 NORTH...LONGITUDE  33.9 WEST OR ABOUT  735 MILES
...1185 KM...WEST-SOUTHWEST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS.

KARL IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NEAR 14 MPH...22 KM/HR.  A MOTION TO
THE WEST OR WEST-NORTHWEST IS EXPECTED...WITH A GRADUAL DECREASE IN
FORWARD SPEED...DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR  40 MPH... 65 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
