Areas affected...Southern/Eastern Kentucky and northern Tennessee

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 386...388...

Valid 260425Z - 260600Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 386, 388
continues.

SUMMARY...The risk for damaging winds and isolated large hail
continues across the watch areas.

DISCUSSION...Thunderstorms across central/southern KY have evolved
into a semi-continuous east-west line as of 0415z. Within this
line, bowing segments have accelerated southeast and were associated
with several reports of wind damage. The line should continue moving
southeast over the next few hours, aided by modest low-level warm
advection and MUCAPE of 1500-locally 2500 J/kg based on latest
mesoanalysis. Damaging winds will remain the primary severe threat,
although isolated large hail remains possible with the more intense
updrafts within the line.
